Aberporth

  and Newport

Aberporth lies on the west coast of Wales in Cardigan bay about eight miles north west of Cardigan .

Aberporth is a quiet pleasant village with nice beaches a coastal path with stunning views and many tourist attractions within easy reach.

There are two beautiful beaches. The eastern one is dog friendly. Between the two beaches are two beach cafes and a beach shop plus the Ship Inn which has excellent beer and good food especially the steaks. Down the hill from the Ship Inn, over the stream and up a steep hill is the Morlan Hotel this again has good food and beer. Try the Sunday lunch but don't forget to book. To the right up the hill is the Chinese takeaway and chip shop and to the left is a small row of shops. This road leads down to The Green and to the other side of the eastern beach.

Going in the opposite direction from the Ship Inn takes you past the west beach and up the hill onto the Cardigan road, here you pass the Highcliffe Hotel. This is a dog friendly hotel.

If arriving from the north take the A487 coast road down from Aberystwyth, passing through Aberaeron, Synod Inn, and turning right at the first signpost for Aberporth (B4333).

From the south east head for Carmarthen take the A484 towards Newcastle Emlyn turn right into the town centre. Drive through Newcastle Emlyn and over the river bridge north of the town. Turn left 50 yards past the bridge following the sign to Aberporth. (B4333) At the A487 Cardigan to Aberystwyth main junction, go straight across and follow the road for two miles all the way down hill into Aberporth Village.

Why not have a look round before you book your Holiday. At £9.50 you get over 200 images of Aberporth village and the surrounding area plus numerous web links.

Please Note : This disk is not intended as a tourist guide. It was produce to let you see what the area looks like. Many brochures and advertisements do not always adequately do this and this can sometimes lead to disappointment when you arrive for your holiday. I have attempted to provide and accurate view of the area. Any opinions expressed are my own and I do not have any business interests in any of the businesses listed.
